The Story
The British Empire, a world long gone: In the dangerous alleys of London, a guileless good-for-nothing flâneur finds his destiny. The legendary magic cloak has chosen him, of all people, to prevent dark forces from plunging the world into eternal chaos. But will he succeed in saving the world from the looming darkness? 25 horses, one donkey, and more than 40 performers, including internationally renowned show riders and a virtuoso ballet ensemble, take the audience into a fantastic world full of magic, adventure, and love. The Makers
Since 2009, up to 500,000 visitors throughout Europe have been enchanted by the Apassionata shows directed by Berlin-based composer Holger Ehlers every year. Holger Ehlers began his professional career in 1983 when he followed his passion for art and decided to study opera singing at the Hamburg University of Music and Performing Arts.Today, Holger Ehlers can look back on around a quarter of a century of international opera, musical, and theater work – Hamburg, Berlin to Moscow, and Shanghai.In recent years up to 500,000 visitors throughout Europe have been enchanted by the Apassionata – shows directed by Berlin-based composer and award-winning creative director Holger Ehlers who used the past two years to develop his new production: “MONDWIND – The Magic Cloak.”
